Sony’s BDP-S1 and also BDP-HD1 of Pioneer Elite did not have the provision to play CDs. But that is not the case with the new BDP-S300. Sony is and has been the winner all the way in commercial market, particularly with DVD/CD/Blu-ray player. It comes up with converting option of DVD player to CD player also. In spite of some minor and small problems or rather nuisances, the BDP-S300 has so many features that it can be recommended without any second thought.

If it is just the Blu ray player one is looking for, then this is it. Most of the Blue ray DVD players come with the provision of playing CDs, with some exceptions. The Sony and Pioneer’s first models are known for not playing CDs. BH100 Blue ray that was brought out by LG newly and which is not discontinued was also one among them.
