              “Off the Wall” album was first released on August 10, 1979. It was the 5th Album from the king of pop, Michael Jackson. In this album, MJ wrote several songs himself like “Don’t Stop til You Get Enough” which is the album's first track and single.

              However, top song writers and performers in the history of American music like Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartnery, and Rod Temperton collaborated with MJ to make the album even greater. Off the Wall has a definite dance vibe and should be classified in the Disco category, but it is beautifully mixed with soft rock, pop ballads, jazz, and soul.

                When the album was first released, MJ was only 21 years old. Nevertheless, the musical genius had been in the business for decade. The album was MJ’s first real solo and a departure from Jackson’s previous work for Motown. Everyone always knows MJ was special and talented, but MJ surpassed everyone’s expectation in this album.

                The album was a big hit. It was sold over 20 million copied worldwide. MJ became the 1st single artist to have 4 singles peak in the top 10 of Billboard Hot 100 within the same album.
