Invincible has 16 tracks in the album. The album starts out with 3 upbeat songs: “Unbreakable”, “Heartbreaker”, and “Invincible”. Unbreakable is a great choice of album opener and a great song for the dance floor. Here are our reviews for each song.
- Unbreakable : We think this is the best track of the album. It got the right beat and powerful dance component.
- Heartbreaker: This song has resemblance to a Timbaland song. It is not too great for us.
- Invincible: Great Beat and great song.
- Break of Dawn: Smooth romantic song. Great for creating a perfect date environment
- Heaven Can Wait: The lyrics are eloquent and beautiful. We love it.
- You Rock My World: This definitely will be a timeless classic. It is a Must-get.
- Speechless: The beginning part was not so great. But if you really listen to it, it has a great vibe.
- 2000 Watts: Although the lyrics are bit unorthodox, you can enjoy MJ’s energy and powerful voice.
- You are my life: Not so great. You can just skip it.
- Privacy: Michael tried to tell the media to leave him alone through his song. He did a great job. Great vibe.
- Don’t Walk Way: It is kinda a weird song, but the melody is o.k.
- Cry: This is a slow song which is produced by R. Kelly.
- The Lost Children: We did not like it that much. The melody is extremely slow to us.
- Whatever Happens: This is probably one of the best songs in track.
- Threatened: There is no doubt about it. This is Thriller part 2.
Invincible was sold over 366,275 copies during its first week. Up to date, the album was sold over 10,000 copies worldwide. Although critics generally favor Invincible, the expectations of the album were high. Many critics view this album as one of MJ’s least impressive records. Some said that the record run too long. Some critics viewed MJ’s skills as diminishing. At the time of the release, Michael had to face his ugly public scandal and troubling finance. According to Rolling Stone, every song is full of grandiose desperation.
